You can experience Tea Ceremony in the precincts of traditional temples in Tokyo; one of them is with over 1300 years of history. The tearoom is located next to the main building of the temple. For a group of many members, the tea ceremony will be hosted at a traditional Japanese house in the precincts.

If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, how about a Japanese-style tea ceremony experience led by an experienced instructor at a serene temple surrounded by lush greenery? While you are there, you can also take a tour around the main hall of the temple with over 1000 years of history and take pictures, one of many reasons why a lot of international visitors have enjoyed this unique experience. The session can be experienced by a small group in an intimate setting at the temple’s tea house. This is a perfect opportunity to fully appreciate the beauty of Japanese culture.

Your instructor will be one of the following.
・The 91st generation head priest of a Tendai sect Buddhist temple with over 1,300 years of history in Tokyo. Also a licensed "Omotesenke Tea Ceremony Instructor".
・Wife of the head priest, who is a priest and tea ceremony Instructor herself.
・Sister-in-law of the head priest.

・You are asked to respect and follow the master's instructions.
・Please take off your accessories for protecting the equipment.
・All children under 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
・Please make sure to always communicate through wasabijp. In order to protect your payment, never transfer money or communicate outside of the wasabijp website.
・If you feel unwell or are under the influence of alcohol at the time of arrival, you will not be able to join our experience.
・Please make sure to arrive on time. If you arrive late, you may not be able to join us, as the end time cannot be extended to make up for late arrivals.
